Kim and I just bought a new 2005 Toyota Prius. We had more or less convinced ourselves to do so months ago, but we just hadn't had the time to go shop for one. Also, buying them is a challenge: there's still something like a six week delay if you order one, and the ones on the lot rarely last for more than a day or two (and those tend to be the expensive super-duper option package models anyway). But we lucked out: someone else's financing fell through, and it just so happened that they had ordered exactly the color and option package that we wanted. So for those of you who are interested, here's our car! (And for the record, the cute little display thingy said that we averaged 49 MPG over the 50 miles or so that we drove the car before coming home.)
